Life Is Hard On The Road

from BANG CAMARO II by Bang Camaro

/

about

We always joked about filming a tour video with slow-motion drawn out shots of tour buses, huge festival stages, clinking beer mugs, kissy faces, and sleeping in close quarters. Problem was we didn't have a song to go along with it, so Alex brought us this Tesla-inspired American rock jam he fashioned out of lyrics Nick Given wrote as an homage to "We Didn't Start The Fire" by William Joel, except instead of references to important world history events, Nick focused mostly on BC's exploits as America's Most Debaucherous Band Of Idiots. Almost every line in this song is true. Except we're still unclear as to which of us came home with VD... good times.

lyrics

Cocaine driven shouts
Hot tub wrestling bouts
Four o’clock departing flights
Late night Denny’s shouting fights
Talk with chicks in bathroom stalls
(Founder Brown, he get’s around)
Missing all those girlfriend calls
Debt collectors on your tail
Merch sale use for bail

Live. Love. Die. Rock.

Life is hard on the road
The road is long the road is strong
Life is hard on your own
So I’m out here with my best twenty-one

Getting slapped with DUIs
Followed by eight our drives
Pennsylvania Idaho
Blacking out in Fargo
Motel coffee, jerk off rooms
Wakarusa flooding doom
STDs, no more weed
We’ve got so much more to see!

Rock. Stars. Small. Bars.

Life is hard on the road
The road is long the road is strong
Life is hard on your own
So I’m out here with my best twenty-one

Two rooms fourteen men
Glen Fant strikes out again
Alex falls asleep with beer
Rod Van Stoli sheds a tear
Allentown Bryn lands in jail
Calls his girl to no avail…

Life is hard on the road
The road is long the road is strong
Life is hard on your own
So I’m out here with my best twenty-one

Life is hard on the road
The road is long the road is strong
Life is hard on your own
So I’m out here with my best twenty-one
